MaggieFry is a singer/songwriter, composer, and visual artist from southeast Louisiana.

  Growing up in an artsy home in southern Louisiana, MaggieFry was exposed to many different styles of music and art from a young age. This eclectic upbringing has greatly influenced her musical ear and her general outlook on life. Her deep fascination with finding the right words to describe any feeling or situation is what inspires her genuine and heartfelt lyrics. While she loves all aspects of sound, complex harmonies (and/or dissonances) are what excite her the most in her musical writing. These harmonies are the sonic representation of the colorful world she grew up around.

  On the more technical side of things: She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a double concentration in Music Media & Music Composition. Here, she was faculty nominated & awarded as the Outstanding Graduate for the School of Music and the College of the Arts. A few years later, she received her masters degree (graduating magna cum laude) in Music Composition from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA.

  In 2020, MaggieFry discovered her deep love and passion for songwriting. With the help of her “lil’ ukulele”, she realized she could combine her knowledge & experience in music composition with her love of words & singing.

  Most recently, she moved to Belfast, NI to pursue a post-graduate diploma in Arts Management. Having completed her programme, she is now back to exploring her roots in south Louisiana.
